Professional Engineering Groups, Inc. is a professional consulting engineering corporation dedicated to providing prime services and innovative engineering design and construction services for the Mission Critical, Industrial and Commercial industries with special knowledge of the latest technology for Data Centers, Telecommunications, Industrial Controls and related systems.
History
Professional Engineering Groups, Inc. is the successor to
Cater & Parks, Inc., a professional engineering company established in 1977, which provided mechanical and electrical engineering services to the commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, and telecommunications industries.
In 1992, the company name was changed to the
Parks Engineering Groups, Inc. and was led by William (Hal) Parks and Ron Head with a passionate vision of quality engineering service for the Mission Critical (Telecommunications, Wireless, Data Center, Banking and Industrial) clients.
In 1998 ownership was transferred to Mr. Ron Head. At the end of 2001, the company name was changed to
Professional Engineering Groups, Inc.
Primary Area of Work
Professional Engineering Groups’ office is located in Trussville, Alabama. From this location prime and engineering services are provided to clients in the United States and Caribbean Islands.

Automated Office Facilities
Drawings are produced using current versions of AutoCAD graphics software installed on workstations, all networked to file servers. Professional Engineering Groups also uses the latest SKM System Analysis, Inc. technology in engineering calculation for short circuit analysis, breaker coordination, arc flash, load analysis, prediction of ground system effectiveness, etc. to assist their power design process. The latest technology lighting software is utilized for 3 dimensional lighting analysis.
